Cash & FX Forecasting Specialist (Quant)

Our client, a global corporate, is currently seeking a Cash & FX Forecasting specialist to join their Dublin based Corporate Treasury team. The idea candidate will be responsible for monitoring & remediating forecast accuracy to ensure continuous improvement.

The Job:
• Develop & implement industry leading forecasting for Group wide liquidity & FX positions
• Gather liquidity sensitive data from system & performing data cleansing
• Identify forecasting variables, developing forecasting algorithms for each liquidity component
• Test algorithms to continuously develop and improve their forecasting accuracies
• Consolidate & net forecast liquidity & FX positions over short/medium-term horizons
• Visualise forecasts, determinants & variances to generate business insight
• Monitor developments in external forecasting innovations
• Coordinate people, capital, material & information to maximise efficiency
• Negotiate & represent the company with external counterparts
• Lead transformational projects and managing the related change

The Candidate:
• Degree in applied maths, applied statistics, other numerate discipline
• Min 4 years’ experience in a data science background developing statistical predictive analytics
• Experience working with stakeholders dispersed globally to gather, analyse and clean data
• Strong experience on developing forecasting models on R, SAS or equivalent
• Direct experience in building data visualisation reports on tableau, power BI or ClickView
• Excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationships
• Team player with the ability to collaborate & co-create
• Lead with company values with the ability to inspire
• Ability to handle handles unclear or unpredictable situations
