Group Tax Senior Manager / Director

Due to significant expansion our pharmaceutical client is currently recruiting for a newly created Group Tax Senior Manager / Director position.

Reports to: Group CFO based.

This role will suit someone who has gained experience working across a broad range of taxes in multiple jurisdictions in particular Ireland and the US (Federal and State). The person will be responsible for all aspects of Group Tax and will have an understanding of tax accounting under US GAAP and IFRS.

Main duties:

Compliance
 The tax contact point for finance and business teams
 Ensuring all compliance deadlines are identified and adhered to for all taxes
 Ensuring quarterly tax packs for the purposes of tax provisioning are prepared and approved
 Take the lead role in managing tax audits
 Monitor and advise on compliance matters as a result of changes in tax legislation
 Monitor changing business practices to ensure that the company’s tax reporting is properly aligned with its dynamic environment.

Transfer Pricing
 Review transfer pricing calculations and ensure up to date transfer pricing reports are maintained
 Work with external tax advisors to complete the transfer pricing reports annually
 Review intercompany transactions, invoicing and related documentation to ensure adherence to transfer pricing regulations
 Monitor and advise on the impact on Transfer Pricing as a result of changes in international tax statutes.

Strategic
 Work with our CFO and external tax advisors on the optimum group and business structure
 Advise CEO, CFO and Business Development executives on tax matters as it concerns M&A activities including deal structuring
 Advise stakeholders on the international tax implications of certain business objectives and potential transactions, including tax planning and due diligence.

Other
 Report to the executive committee and the Board on all tax matters.
 Tax contact point for all contracts and agreements.
 Tax contact for indirect taxes working with Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance.
 Partnering with senior members of management on ad-hoc projects, such as, treasury & acquisitions

The person:
o Big 4 trained with 5 years’ pqe
o Tax qualifications and tax experience complimented by accounting experience
o US Tax experience is essential
o Knowledge of US GAAP is a distinct advantage
o Pharmaceutical experience is a distinct advantage
o Demonstrated ability to lead projects and improve processes
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company. Comfortable with change and the absence of “big company” support functions surrounding the role.
o Microsoft Office Suite including v strong Excel skills and PowerPoint Capability

Remuneration: €100,000 - €120,000, 25% bonus, pension and health insurance.
