IT Systems Administrator
Duties
Reporting to the IT Manager, this role will require an experienced individual to maintain network and server infrastructure for 200 users; contribute to and work individually on projects, whilst providing desktop support.
Responsibilities:
• Administer/monitoring of the network/server environment
• Windows 2003/2008 server administration including Active Directory (GPOs)
• Comply and adhere to key processes and support processes
• Maintain the supported environment
• Resolve Support calls within a Service Level Agreement using internal ServiceDesk
• Work as part of a team on technology projects
• Provide Desktop support
• Out of hours and weekend work will be required from time to time.
• Miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
• Risk Management - Comply with all the company's policies & procedures; attend risk briefings & support Firm-wide risk management initiatives. Adhere to the file review and closure process and ensure all open and in-active matters are reviewed and closed as appropriate. Implementation of the Firm's LEXCEL System.
• Information Security - Support implementation of the Firms Information Security Management and comply with the Firms Information Security Statement
1.1 Adhere to data classifications and handling rules
1.2 Report Breach of Policy, Incident or Security Weakness
1.3 Comply with the ISMS-04 User’s Information Security Policy Statements
• Staff may be requested to carry out such reasonable tasks as may from time to time occur.
Experience in:
• Active Directory (including sound knowledge of login scripts, GPOs),
• Windows 2008, Windows 2003, Windows, SQL
• With a focus on MS Exchange 2003/2010 including SMTP routing and VMWare VSphere 5.0 (experience of Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 migration is highly desirable)
• Good networking knowledge, consisting of DNS, WINS, DHCP,
• Server hardware skills including an advantage
• The ability to logically troubleshoot problems to a satisfactory resolution
• Ability to work with team implementing technical upgrades/changes and migration strategies.
