The Panel is engaged to source a Health and Safety Co-Ordinator (permanent position), on behalf of a reputable global company.
The job
- Ensure safety training is provided and co-ordinate with depots
- Maintain key performance indicators for health and safety
- Provide health and safety inductions to new starters
- Represent the business at HSA inspections and insurance meetings
- Carry out accident and incident investigations
- Co-ordinate maintenance teamwork orders and maintain KPI’s for same.
- Carry out internal health and safety audits for the supply chain depots
- Represent health and safety on project teams.
- Be capable of conducting toolbox talks with employees.
- Review risk assessments and method statements received from contractors
The Candidate
- Experience in supervising a maintenance team.
- Can confidently provide presentations to key stakeholders.
- Must work well under pressure and have the ability to work on own initiative.
- Litigation experience with proven results in claims handling.
- Experienced in carrying out health and safety audits.
- Experience in documentation and safety management system
- Excellent Microsoft PowerPoint, excel and word skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Full class B driving license.
- Be willing to travel to supply chain depots nationwide
Qualification, Education and Skills required
- Good knowledge of chemical safety and fire safety.
- 3rd Level qualification (minimum level 7) in health and safety.
- First aid responder qualification.
- Manual handling instructor qualification.
- VDU/DSE workstation assessor.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a health and safety
- Excellent knowledge of the 2005 Health safety act
