My client, based in North Dublin, is a growing construction group with operations in Ireland and the UK. They are seeking an experienced, qualified Financial Accountant to join their growing finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will support the team in all aspects of finance and accounts preparation.
This is an office-based role with bonus and additional benefits.

Responsibilities:
- Posting the prime books of entry for a number of entities including but not limited to sales ledger, purchases/subcontractor’s ledger and cash book.
- Assist with the monthly payment runs for each entity to ensure timely payment
- Preparation of monthly and bimonthly revenue returns and reconciliation of same.
- Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts monthly
- Manage month-end procedures i.e ensuring all ledgers are closed and cashflows are updated
- Reviewing the contracts ledger and liaising with the Commercial team on any queries
- Reviewing reports issued from the commercial team in relation to cost to complete
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, P&L reporting, accruals and reconciliations
- Assisting with the implementation of new modules on COINS along with upgrading reporting structures in conjunction with HQ and external consultants.
- To support budget preparation including forecasting, report compilation and provision of projections.
- To provide information as required to the Financial Controller to enable timely management reporting, including variance and accounts analysis.
- To support external audits as and when required.
- To carry out any other related duties which may reasonably be required from time to time.
Requirements:
- Qualified candidate (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
- 2+ years industry experience in a busy accounts department that deals with project-based accounting.
- Highly organised with a professional and positive manner.
- Experience in working with an ERP system, preferably COINS and Irish VAT essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
