Our client is a highly successful privately owned group involved in the retail and distribution of branded products. The company employs over 400 people and has a turnover in excess of €300m. They are now looking to recruit a Finance Manager to manage and oversee their South Dublin retail finance team.
This position will enjoy a high level of exposure to senior management and offers the opportunity to gain commercially focused experience in all aspects of the finance function, in a leading Irish company in its sector.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, with a strong commercial acumen, an exceptional level of attention to detail and high level of IT proficiency. The role will report directly to the Group CFO.
Responsibilities:
• Supporting the Group CFO in achieving their objectives, goals and strategy.
• Analytical review, analysis and interpretation of financial performance in an easy-to-understand manner to non‐finance people.
• Overall responsibility to meet reporting deadlines, maintain the highest standards of internal controls and safeguard the integrity of financial data.
• Owner of all finance reporting processes including monthly management accounts, annual budgets, monthly forecasting, statutory financial statements
• Review the financial performance of the business to provide insights and explanations driving variances to budget / prior year, to support commercial decision making.
• Standardisation of finance reporting processes in line with Group reporting requirements.
• Developing new reporting solutions to meet the needs of the business.
You are:
• Qualified ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) with ideally 2+ years PQE
• Excellent MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) skills
• A strategic and commercial mind‐set.
• Instinctively analytical and a high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
