My client is an international healthcare group based in North Dublin.
The Head of Finance is responsible for the development, interpretation, and evaluation of financial information as well as the execution of financial decisions taken by the Board. This role involves financial planning and analysis, along with the development of the reporting processes necessary to enhance the integrity and quality of the information used in the management of the company.
The incumbent will be responsible for the successful oversight of the financial transactional activities through local teams and outsourced partners.
The purpose of this position is to provide strategic insight and direction to the Board on the financial management of the Company. The incumbent will be required to complete financial calculations, simulations, and projections to assist in decision making.

The role:
Finance Management
- Plan and direct all aspects of financial function for the company through the management of outsource partners and local teams.
- Coordinate with Departments to ensure the appropriate information is available for analysis of business, interpreting financial outcomes, and the development of automated tools necessary for increasing departmental efficiency and overall management of the company.
- Lead the development of financial information necessary for growth. This involves the acquisition and assimilation of data, production of financial proformas, and the development of business plans.
- Manage financial projections for new business bids, proposals, investment decisions and strategy development.
- Strategic management of collection reporting, procedures, and escalations.
Management Accounts
- Direct the work of the Finance team and outsource partners ensuring on time and accurate completion of monthly management accounts.
- Manage the integrity of company financial procedures, internal audit systems, and controls.
- Management and oversight of annual audit(s), ensuring on-time completion and reporting to the Board.
Cash Management
- Provide detailed cost information and cost analysis beyond the management accounts to control and reduce overhead costs and expenditures.
- Manage and reports cash flow projections, treasury management and FX.
- Manage and control all company assets including working capital and cash management.
Budget Management
- Manage the budgeting process by liaising with budget holders on project budgets and consolidating budget data for enterprise management decision making.
- Responsible for providing feedback to budget holders on approved budgets and for finalizing the budgets on time.
- Produce regular financial reports including monthly budget reconciliations and summaries that are accurate and timely.
Reporting to Board of Directors
- Plan and direct all aspects of financial analysis for the company, specifically monthly and quarterly financial reporting and analysis.
- Provide incisive management information that supports decision making on profitability, spending, process improvement and highlights major action areas.
- Work with management through the business planning process in setting annual targets for use in developing meaningful KPI’s to reflect organizational goals.
- Taxation Planning and oversight.
Relationships
- The incumbent will report to the COO and will engage closely with the CEO and Managing Partner.
- The incumbent will also interface with clients and partners in countries.
- Direct reports include finance team and outsourced partners.
The person:
- Qualified Accountant with 5 years' experience working at management level.
- Previous experience of working in a large group essential
- Strong supervisory experience essential
- The incumbent should be a strong implementer with strategic thinking and experience and expertise in developing recommendations.
- The incumbent should be able to work with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams as well as other
- parties to implement initiatives on time, on budget and with a high degree of quality
Salary: €105 plus benefits.
