Financial Controller
My client is a fast growing retail/services company. They are currently recruiting for a highly motivated Financial Controller to take full responsibility for the finance function. This role supports the COO and offers development opportunities to progress into a CFO role. As part of a 4-person management team, you will oversee a team of 5 in the finance department and be actively involved in the company’s strategic growth and operational efficiencies.

As part of a 4-person management team, you will oversee a team of 5 in the finance department and be actively involved in the company’s strategic growth and operational efficiencies.
Financial Management:

- Lead and manage the finance team to ensure the timely, complete, and accurate preparation of monthly accounts and management information reports.
- Manage ongoing development and reporting through the SAP HANA
- Ensure precise aged debt management and creditor postings while meeting payment schedules.

- Oversee the finance team (5 members), including the Accounts Receivable (AR) team of 2 and Accounts Payable (AP) team of 2.
- Foster an ethos of excellence and engagement within the team, conducting monthly finance meetings to ensure continuous development and operational improvements.

- Work with the stock controller to manage the integrated ERP and stock system, ensuring stock accuracy.
- Manage payroll processes

- Lead cost control initiatives, manage overheads, and drive inflation management processes.
- Monitor weekly cash flow and oversee cash management strategies.

- Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with IT to manage and update pricing structures as necessary.
Strategic Involvement:

- Play an active role in Board of Management (BOM) meetings, providing board pack reports and accounts.
- Partner with the IT Manager to enhance financial and operational reporting systems.
- Contribute to the company’s growth by identifying value-added initiatives, driving efficiencies, and improving profitability.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent with extensive post-qualification experience in a senior finance role.
- Experience of SAP HANA S4 an advantage
- Proven ability to manage and develop finance teams
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
- Proactive approach to driving efficiencies and cost control.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at a senior management level.
Salary: €100k plus benefits
