Group Financial Controller
My client is a large group with a global reach, based in Westmeath. They are currently looking to recruit a Group Financial Controller to join their group management team.
Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for providing financial and commercial support to the Senior Leadership Team and the Board. Within a PE backed environment, you will be required to deliver timely, accurate and unified financial information.

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for providing financial and commercial support to the Senior Leadership Team and the Board. Within a PE backed environment, you will be required to deliver timely, accurate and unified financial information.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business unit Financial Controllers across the Group to coordinate and produce consolidated group reporting and planning deliverables;
- Ensure consistent application of policies, procedures and templates to month-end reporting and ensure group reporting deadlines are achieved;
- Full responsibility for the timeliness and accuracy of the monthly, consolidated management accounts including Board deliverables;
- Full responsibility for the preparation of statutory financial statements and engagement with the auditors to ensure the group meets year-end internal/external reporting deadlines;
- Liaise with advisors to ensure all group tax reporting obligations are met on time and in full
- Prepare consolidated budgets and forecasts for the group, following consistent assumptions and templates, including Board deliverables;
- Produce periodic, consolidated financial information for external stakeholders, including lenders;
- Produce consolidated financial and commercial reports for internal stakeholders on a regular basis , e.g. treasury reports, sales/margin reports, capex reports, etc.;
- Maintain a live, audit ready, consolidated data room;
- Partner with IT to automate consolidated, group reporting via group IT applications; and
- Integrate acquisitions into group reporting and planning policies, procedures, templates, and timetables.
The person:
- Qualified Accountant with several years post qualification experience, ideally in a multi-site, multi-currency operation
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to influence at a senior level
- Sound understanding of IT systems so able to deliver a unified view of information
- Team player – able to forge strong working relationships throughout the Group
- High detail orientation with strong analytical and modelling skills – but able to maintain the bigger picture
