My client – global asset management business located in Dublin city centre is seeking to hire a Financial Reporting Consultant. As a key member of the accounting team, the primary function of this role is to support the year-end audit process across the department and collaborate with an outsourced third-party and auditors to ensure a seamless and efficient process. This role will initially be on a 6 month contract basis however there will be scope for permanency.

Responsibilities:
- Review the production of financial statements for company funds, ensuring outsourced third-party administrators produce accurate financial statements within agreed timelines.
- Contribute to financial reporting projects due to the continuously evolving regulatory and technical landscape for company funds and provide advice and guidance to project teams as required.
- Act as point of contact between outsourced third-party firm and Head Office; facilitating and contributing to the growth and development of the relationship between locations.
- Develop an understanding and expertise in the assigned functional area, both in terms of depth (knowledge of process) and breadth (knowledge of fund-specific characteristics and how they affect the process).
- Support the year-end audit process across the department and work with an outsourced third-party and auditors to ensure a smooth process.
- Take part in ad hoc projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (B.S) or Accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or ACA.
- 5 years previous experience within the financial services in auditing, third-party administration, or asset management.
- Experience working with investment funds, the financial markets in which they operate, and financial instruments.
- Strong technical Financial Reporting knowledge including US GAAP, IFRS, and Lux GAAP.
- Proficient in Excel skills; willing to learn new systems and applications.
- High-quality administrative and organizational skills; strong attention to detail.
