The Panel is currently engaged to source an Operational Risk Manager on behalf of a reputable Global Fund Management Company in Dublin city centre on a permanent basis
In this role you will provide Operational Risk support to the Product and Distribution teams globally, and assist the 2nd line team in Europe to ensure appropriate risk policies, procedures and supporting systems are in place to monitor and manage risk.

In this role you will provide Operational Risk support to the Product and Distribution teams globally, and assist the 2nd line team in Europe to ensure appropriate risk policies, procedures and supporting systems are in place to monitor and manage risk.
Responsibilities
- Provide robust challenge and perform oversight of the management of risk by first line business teams, conducting spotlight reviews, risk identification and assessment workshops and delivering second line opinion on effectiveness of controls, risk culture and first line framework.
- Working closely with Senior Operational Risk Manager and the MI & Reporting Manager, to produce insightful risk reporting for management, regulator, auditor and client audiences as required.
- Contribute to the constant development of the framework, processes and systems for identifying, controlling and reviewing key operational risks and control deficiencies, explain framework concepts clearly and concisely in order to ensure appropriate action is taken by the first line.
- Develop an understanding of the business areas with which partnered, be curious, thereby ensuring awareness of upcoming business change and product developments.
- Represent Operational Risk function in meetings around the business and attend and support more formal committees as directed.
- Through strong engagement, relationship building, education and training with key stakeholders across the business support an improved understanding of the roles and responsibilities applying to a ‘three lines of defence’ model.
- Personally maintain a good knowledge of Group policy and operational risk requirements, keeping abreast of changes and developments including those externally, discussing relevant topics in an informed manner and acting as a subject matter expert and risk champion on behalf of the team.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of the international asset management industry including investor types, distributional channels, the competitor landscape and a technical knowledge of operational risk management, risk frameworks, non-financial risk events, metrics and systems is desirable
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to fully participate and successfully influence where business senior stakeholders are present and to write detailed, clear and well received reports for a variety of audiences.
- Good presentation skills including the ability to articulate and convey theoretical concepts such as risk appetite to varying audiences in a clear and compelling manner.
