Financial Controller

Reports to: CFO

Join a PE-backed business on an exciting growth journey, scaling rapidly through acquisition. We're seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to lead the finance function and support strategic decision-making at the heart of a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report directly to a supportive, mentoring CFO

• Manage and develop the finance team, ensuring robust controls and processes

• Oversee preparation and review of statutory accounts and management reporting

• Analyse financial performance, delivering actionable insight to senior leadership

• Present clear, data-led analysis using Power BI and/or advanced Excel

• Support M&A activity through integration of newly acquired entities

• Develop and enhance finance systems and reporting frameworks

• In time, play an active role in commercial decision-making and business planning

What You’ll Bring:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience in managing and mentoring a finance team.

• Strong technical and commercial finance experience

• Lead by example, you will shape the finance function, making it a proactive support function for the business

• Confident communicator with excellent analytical skills

• Systems savvy – with hands-on experience in Excel and/or Power BI
