Our client, a highly successful Irish business, is currently recruiting for an L&D / Talent Specialist who will work with the Group HR Director to deliver core people initiatives during a period of organisational change
The role focuses on creating practical frameworks for Learning & Development, Talent Management, and Organisational Design, ensuring structures are clear, consistent, and supportive of growth.
This position blends strategic input with hands-on delivery and values contributions from varied viewpoints.

Who will this suit?
- A HR professional with at least 4 years’ experience
- You must have some experience of L&D design and talent mapping – but moreover, you must have a keen interest in taking ownership of this exciting project, your role is to gather the information and then help design and deliver the key project elements. This is a ‘hands-on’ project, but with key strategic elements
- A HR professional who is happy to sit with Heads of Departments to ‘fully understand their roles and hiring needs’ – you need to enjoy working with people in order to gather the data needed to get the full picture of their talent and L&D needs
Responsibility
- Support the roll-out of a Group-wide L&D framework, manage training processes, and consolidate TNA outcomes for planning.
- Maintain L&D metrics and governance standards, working closely with HR colleagues.
- Assist with organisational design projects, job architecture, role profiles, grading, and competency updates.
- Coordinate talent mapping, succession planning activities, and documentation for reviews and calibration.
- Help design and deliver workshops for managers and provide tools that support job evaluation and career discussions.
- Support the HR Director in applying a unified L&D framework across the Group.
- Coordinate standard processes for training requests, approvals, and tracking.
- Lead the Training Needs Analysis and feed results into annual plans.
- Manage L&D metrics, including participation, spend, and effectiveness.
- Apply consistent L&D governance standards across all functions.
- Work with HR colleagues to deliver programmes and maintain accurate records.
- Contribute to organisational design and job architecture by preparing project materials and maintaining role and competency profiles.
- Support talent and manager development through succession data coordination, review processes, and targeted manager resources.
Idea Candidate
- 4+ years of experience in in Learning & Development, Talent, or Organisational Design
- Strong understanding of job architecture, grading frameworks, succession planning, and talent mapping
- Confident in supporting the development and integration of L&D frameworks, processes, and governance standards
- Skilled in Training Needs Analysis, tracking, and metrics
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insight
- Experience in designing or supporting manager training and development initiatives
- Effective collaboration and influencing skills, with sound commercial awareness
- Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
- Adaptable, solutions-focused, and resilient within a fast-paced transformation setting
