Location: Dublin City Centre (On-site)
Reports to: General Manager / Executive Committee

A prestigious and well-established sports club, based close to Dublin City Centre, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its finance function. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, team management, and ensuring robust financial reporting.

A prestigious and well-established sports club, based close to Dublin City Centre, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its finance function. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, team management, and ensuring robust financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, and statutory reporting.
- Lead and support a finance team of two, ensuring accurate and timely month-end close and financial reporting.
- Maintain strong financial controls.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships.
- Provide strategic financial insight to the General Manager and Executive Committee to support key decision-making.
- Review and improve internal financial processes and systems where necessary.
- Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders as required.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- 5+ years’ post-qualified experience in a senior finance role, ideally as Financial Controller or Finance Manager.
- Previous experience managing small finance teams and working in a hands-on role.
- Strong knowledge of financial controls, reporting, and budgeting processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in the hospitality or membership-based sectors is an advantage but not essential.
Salary: €100k plus bonus depending on experience
