My client is a large group with offices globally. They are currently looking to recruit a big 4/top 10 trained accountant with a couple of years’ pqe, for a 12 month contract based at their offices in South Dublin.

My client is a large group with offices globally. They are currently looking to recruit a big 4/top 10 trained accountant with a couple of years’ pqe, for a 12 month contract based at their offices in South Dublin.
Reports to: Financial Controller
- Preparation of year-end audit files, management & statutory accounts and group reporting to head office
- Preparation, review & analysis of flash & monthly management accounts to very strict reporting deadlines to parent company
- Preparation of monthly asset and liability reconciliations
- Production of weekly sales reports
- Actively assist with the annual external audit, taking ownership of agreed areas and delivery directly to auditors
- Compilation of the annual budget and supporting schedules.
- Looks for opportunities to improve processes that lead to reduced costs, reduced lead times and/or increased accuracy
- Assist and deliver in any other ad hoc requirements as they arise
- Qualified Accountant with 2-4 years’ pqe
- Have excellent communication and people skills
- Superior judgement and ability to apply and develop our procedures and processes as required
- Proficiency in IT applications including at least MS Excel and ability to learn new systems. Knowledge of SAP would be a distinct advantage.
- Ability to multi task and build strong relationships across different departments within the organisation.
- Ability to prioritise a wide range of external and internal deadlines.
- A strong team player but be able to work on own initiative when required
- Ability to prioritise tasks as required for both yourself and the team
