Our client, a global leader in the financial services sector, is seeking an experienced

Derivatives Lawyer to join their legal team in Dublin.

Key points:

• This role requires experienced Derivatives Lawyer with min. 10 years pqe.
• Reporting to the Head of Legal.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting activities involving a wide range of financial products including OTC derivatives, equities, and fixed income products.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and review agreements related to trading activities, including derivatives arrangements, securities lending/borrowing, market-making agreements, and financing transactions.
• Advise on and negotiate industry-standard agreements such as ISDAs agreements.
• Provide legal counsel on regulatory frameworks
• Support the development of new products, and market initiatives by identifying and mitigating legal and regulatory risks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and maintain strong relationships with external parties

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience, with a strong background in financial services or capital markets law.
• Proven experience advising on the trading of financial instruments and negotiating industry master agreements.
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulatory regimes
