Financial Controller
My client is a well know Irish company based in West Dublin. They are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller with a strong background in preparing management accounts, fp&a and managing finance teams.
This role will be based 3 days on site.
Main duties:
- Deliver monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts within 3 weeks of period end, with full variance analysis
- Lead the annual budget and forecast process
- Manage and develop a finance team of 6 (credit control, assistant accountant, financial accountant)
- Maintain and develop the ERP system (Microsoft Business Central) and its integration with the CRM
- Oversee financial controls across cash flow, payments, bank reconciliations, debtor management, and invoicing
- Tax compliance across VAT, ERR, and Corporation Tax
- Liaise with the Audit & Risk Committee alongside the CFO
- Financial oversight of operations (actual, forecast, and budget)
- Contribute to the strategic initiatives
The person:
- Qualified accountant, preferably practice-trained, with 5+ years PQE
- Experience in a commercial, service-driven Irish business environment
- Strong people management skills with a track record of developing a team
- Advanced Excel; experience with Microsoft Business Central and Power BI an advantage
- Strong analytical, budgeting, and forecasting capability
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with non-finance stakeholders
