Financial Controller
A fast-growing, PE-backed international business is seeking a Financial Controller to play a key leadership role in evolving its finance function. Reporting to the CFO, this is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, commercial environment.
Main duties:
- Lead the month-end close, ensuring accurate and timely monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts, supported by full variance analysis
- Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, processes and controls, with a focus on automation and efficiency
- Maintain effective day-to-day cash management and forecasting, ensuring strong controls over payments, bank reconciliations and working capital
- Partner with the CFO on Board reporting, budgeting and forecasting, finance transformation and key business initiatives
- Lead and develop the finance team, promoting high performance, accountability and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance across tax (VAT, PAYE/PRSI, Corporation Tax), statutory reporting and the annual audit
The person:
- Qualified accountant, ideally practice trained, with 5+ years' PQE in a fast-paced commercial environment
- Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate a finance team
- Strong technical and analytical skills, with a practical approach to problem solving and process improvement
- Strong communicator, comfortable working across the business and with investors and external advisers
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines
