Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will own key parts of the month-end close and management reporting across a group of trading companies. With ambitious growth plans ahead, this is a role for someone who wants to develop and take on more over the next few years, not just keep the wheels turning.

- Produce variance analysis against budget and prior year with clear commentary
- Prepare accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations; maintain the fixed asset register
- Manage intercompany recharges and reconciliations, and franchise royalty and fee invoicing
- Analyse food and beverage cost of sales, GP% and labour cost, and highlight trends to operations
- Prepare VAT returns across multiple rates and reconcile payroll and Revenue control accounts
- Prepare year-end audit files and act as the main point of contact for auditors on designated entities
- Supervise and review the work of the accounts assistant and accounts payable function
- Partner with area and site managers on performance, cost and margin
The Person
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent), actively progressing towards qualification
- 3 to 5 years' experience in an accounting or finance role, including month-end close and management accounts
- Strong balance sheet reconciliation skills and advanced Excel
- Sound working knowledge of Irish VAT and payroll compliance
- Experience with Sage, Xero, Business Central or similar
- Hospitality, QSR, retail or franchise experience, Power BI or EPOS exposure, and UK / NI VAT knowledge are all an advantage
- Curious and analytical, able to explain the numbers clearly to non-finance colleagues
