The Panel attends Adminovate 2024

On Thursday 16th of May we were delighted to attend the Adminovate Conference at Trinity College Dublin.

On one of the busiest days so far, we sent our colleagues Liam Murphy (Director, Funds & Investment Management) and Will Kavanagh (Senior Consultant, Risk & Compliance) to attend the fund’s events of the year, Adminovate.

The forum took place in the new Trinity College Business School building and the attendees listened to product demonstrations and insightful and inspirational talks throughout the day.

Pete Townsend (Adminovate organising committee) opened the day and introduced the first of the panel discussions.

Topics included:

  • Evolving Customer Expectations: UX and Fintech Innovations
  • What’s next for Global Operating Models
  • Unlocking the future: Thoughts and discussions on harnessing AI to transform the Funds Industry

Before the lunch break a hugely informative discussion surrounding the impact of regulatory challenges like the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and what it will mean for the Irish Funds Industry.

After lunch in the impressive Trinity College Dining Hall, participants listened to the ‘Business Leaders panel’ with Stephen Tennant (CEO at Grant Thornton), Terri Dempsey (CEO and Country Head at State Street Ireland), and Joan Kehoe (Founder and Chief Executive Officer at alchelyst), superbly moderated by Eoin Motherway (iNED to Funds & FinTechs). The panel stood out with honest and sometimes differing viewpoints, keeping the audience hooked.

A truly inspirational keynote by Sarah de Lagarde (Global Head of Corporate Affairs at Janus Henderson) was followed by a well-deserved standing ovation. Her story of how she came to lose her arm and leg in an accident in 2022 and her road to recovery is truly remarkable.

Many thanks to all the speakers, moderators, attendees, and organisers for making it such a memorable day. Special thanks to all the speakers who travelled from the US and India, bringing a global perspective to the conversations. Special mentions go to Alan Meaney, Des O’Donohoe, Shane O’Sullivan, Gerard Gilsenan, Daniel Herlihy, and Ciaran Walshe at Fund Recs.
