The Panel is exclusively engaged to source an Investment Oversight Manager on behalf of a reputable Manco in Dublin city centre on a permanent basis
In this role you will formally support senior management and complete internal board responsibilities in context of independent evaluation of quality and efficacy of investment outcomes and processes.
The role holder will support in the ongoing development and execution of the Investment Oversight model implemented by the Irish firm and its branches and which currently covers Equities, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset and Direct Real Estate portfolios.
The Investment Oversight model will review, assess, and assist in the ongoing development of investment processes already in place (and which generate our clients’ outcomes). Components of the investment process covered will include, but not necessarily be limited to ,Idea generation, Investment execution ,Portfolio construction and management ,Client outcomes
Responsibilities
- Support in the ongoing development of the Oversight model and process for the products managed in Ireland and Europe
- Support the PCF 30, in discharging that role holder’s responsibilities through the preparation of reporting on portfolio management activities in the relevant funds/mandates and presentation to the appropriate boards/stakeholders..
- Review and interpret qualitative and quantitative analysis and management information to support in the provision of independent evaluation and monitoring.
- Appreciation of the investment processes and portfolio construction through regular interaction with investment teams across a range of asset classes.
- Contribute to formal assessments with the portfolio management teams, including Due Diligence reviews within their locality with the aim of ensuring that client and regulatory expectations of risk taking within portfolios are being met and confirm whether outcomes are consistent with these expectations.
- Support the PCF 30 in discharging execution oversight responsibilities including but not limited to: timeliness of execution, price, cancelled deals before and after accounting, trade rationale, fair allocation and escalation of oversight issues as necessary.
Requirements:
- A strong knowledge of financial markets and investment management gained through experience investment analysis / portfolio management environment
- Appreciation of risk, and how risks can be mitigated, coupled with a measured and sensible approach when dealing with senior professionals
- A good sense of integrity and a demonstrable approach to discretion recognising that they may periodically be in receipt of sensitive information.
- A high level of numerical and analytical skills such that the individual can collate, interpret and analyse portfolio, risk and performance data
- CFA/CAIA or equivalent would be advantageous
The salary for this role is negotiable depending on experience and includes an excellent bonus and benefits package
