I am working with my Fintech client, in the Insurance industry, on an exclusive role to appoint a Compliance Manager.
- The Role
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance framework, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements in the Republic of Ireland.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all compliance-related matters and provide guidance to internal stakeholders on regulatory issues.
- Oversee the day-to-day compliance activities, including monitoring and surveillance programs, risk assessments, and regulatory reporting.
- Preparation and execution of the regular Risk & Compliance Forum.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Act as the MLRO and ensure timely reporting of suspicious transactions to relevant authorities in accordance with legal obligations.
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments and industry trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement compliance controls and enhance risk management processes.
- Hold a recognised Compliance Officers ’qualification and is familiar with the CPC.
- Ready to step up to PCF position.
- Proven experience in a compliance leadership role within the financial services industry, with a focus on insurance and/or fintech sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, including AML, CTF, GDPR, and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Strong understanding of compliance best practices, risk management principles, and internal control frameworks.
- Ability to work both independently and in a project environment, handle multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
