My client, a prominent organisation in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a diligent and skilled Compliance Officer. The role involves working closely with the company’s Group Finance and General Legal functions, managing legal and financial compliance requirements for all group companies. This position requires a strong understanding of compliance within Ireland, the UK, and other EU countries where applicable, such as Portugal, Italy, and Spain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement internal company policies.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations in multiple countries.
- Prepare timely reports on the organisation’s compliance status.
- Communicate effectively with employees to ensure internal and external compliance.
- Maintain company secretary files and share certificate registers.
- Keep KYC documentation current and updated.
- Address banking and finance compliance requests.
- Assist with new company incorporations and dormant company liquidations.
- Regularly update and manage the group structure.
- Support third-party compliance, including banks and debt facilities.
- Coordinate annual group insurance renewals and handle ad hoc insurance requests.
- Prepare company minutes and assist in legal compliance audits.
- Ensure timely filing of CSO returns for Ireland and UK equivalent.
- Implement and manage a compliance software interface within the group.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a legal and compliance-related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Compliance.
- Strong analytical and change management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Independent work style with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional attention to detail and diligence.
- Positive and flexible approach to tasks.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Experience in the renewables sector is preferable.
- Working knowledge of a foreign language (Chinese, Italian, or Spanish) is desirable.
