The Panel has been retained exclusively by an exciting privately owned investment manager, who is setting up an Irish office to manage their European growth. They are looking for a dynamic Head of Compliance ideally who has PCF12 designation from the CBI. One of their top PM's will be based in Ireland and will manage money from here. - Hold the PCF 12 Head of Compliance (CBI pre-approved control function (PCF).
- Develop, implement and manage the compliance and risk management framework in conjunction with local regulatory requirements.
- Implement and undertake risk-based compliance monitoring programs, including the review of the annual risk based Compliance Monitoring Plan
- Liaise with Central Bank of Ireland, fostering strong regulatory relationships
- Ensure that CBI Fitness and Probity Regime and Individual Conduct Accountability framework requirements are adhered to by PCF staff
- Collaborate with HQ to implement appropriate controls and frameworks to mitigate risk across the business and embed a risk management process and maintain relevant compliance registers
- Assist group compliance team in delivering compliance activities and reporting, including review of financial promotions
- Support the team on delivery of projects
- Assist on monitoring and advising on local and global regulatory developments and their impact on the company’s business and group
- Being an effective member of various internal committees
- Develop a strong presence in Ireland and compliance network to understand best practice.
The Candidate
- Minimum 10 years' of experience within compliance and/or risk within Asset Management or Wealth Management
- Ideally MiFID experience, very open to candidates with Man Co & AIFM experience.
- Sound knowledge of Irish and EU legislative and regulatory framework
- Prior experience of dealing with the CBI
- Ideally the candidate should have professional risk and/or compliance qualifications, and/or be degree-educated.
