My client is a global captive and insurance/reinsurance provider with offices in Dublin City. They are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team in a 4-day, full-time, permanent role. This role has shared responsibility with a senior member of the finance team for a high value client.
This role is office based, with hybrid an option on successful completion of the probation period.

Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly financials including posting journals
- Cash management processes, including bank reconciliations, payment administration etc.
- Assist in the balance sheet foreign exchange exposure monitoring
- Process monthly reinsurance statement of accounts
- Preparation and validation of all balance sheet reconciliations
- Support the preparation of Solvency II regulatory returns to the CBI
- Preparation of the annual financial statements and work on audit
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures
- Liaise with external tax advisors for reporting to the local tax authorities
- Preparation of various tax returns including VAT (Bi – monthly) / CT / 46G
- Liaise with underwriters, actuaries, auditors, senior management as appropriate
Requirements:
- Accounting Qualification (Senior PQ considered)
- Insurance/Reinsurance sector experience a strong advantage
- Advanced Excel necessary; SUN accounting software an advantage
- Fluent written and spoken English essential
- Flexibility expected in relation to deadlines and necessary overtime
