Financial Controller
My client is a well known Irish company based in West Dublin.
The role:
- To monitor, support and assist in the delivery of annual Company and departmental KPI’s.
- To deliver monthly management and annual statutory accounts on a timely basis – normally within 3 weeks of month/year end, this to include full analysis of all variances versus Budget and prior year.
- To produce other timely and accurate financial management information as required to support the business and to ensure it is delivered in an efficient and timely manner using IT and staff resources.
- To plan, manage and deliver the annual Budget and Forecast process.
- To maintain the integrity of the accounting system (Microsoft Business Central) and monitor revenue and costs on an on-going basis to ensure they come in on target.
- Lead, Manage and develop the Finance team (3)
- Treasury management to ensure maximum cash collections and interest earnings.
- Maintenance of strong financial controls around cash management, payments, bank reconciliations, tight debtor management and invoicing.
- Tax compliance in respect of VAT and Corporation tax.
- Liaise, in conjunction with Head of Finance, with Audit & Risk Committee.
- IT system testing and development as it pertains to Finance.
The Person:
• Qualified Accountant with minimum 5 years post qualification experience in a fast moving medium sized commercial, service driven, Irish business environment.
• Strong communication, team management, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Problem solving skills and an ability to use technical skills to deliver commercial business results. • Excellent written and presentation skills.
• Strong IT skills particularly in MS Office, MS Dynamics CRM, Power BI and Microsoft Business Central.
• Strong analytical, budgeting and forecasting skills to understand and interrogate financial data and deliver effective advice and recommendations.
• Strong people management and development skills
• Strong team player with an ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to deliver solutions and results.
Salary: €85k plus benefits
Hybrid working, 3 days in the office
