My client, a designer and distributor of energy systems is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead their finance team. Based in West Dublin, this is an Irish based business operating under a European group, offering strong growth opportunity. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for monthly management accounts and leading the local finance team.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the Ireland Finance and Accounting functions ensuring accuracy and completeness of books and records.
- Preparation and submission of monthly P&L/Balance sheet to HFM adhering to group reporting deadlines.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
- Compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax guidelines, and any other legal requirements where appropriate.
- Supporting/Preparing Tax returns.
- Actively participating in legal entity audits both internal and external.
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
- Preparing financial statutory statements.
- Fixed asset management and cash management – forecasting.
- Responsible for all aspects of Inter-company trading, reconciliations, and netting processes.
- Supporting management with financial aspects, resolving problems, and implementing new solutions.
- Contribution to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant with 3+ years’ industry PQ experience.
- Experience in challenging roles including statutory reporting, financial controlling, and taxes.
- Strong Excel skills and highly organized with a high level of attention to detail.
- Able to work with limited supervision and perform well under pressure.
- Flexible and adaptable, committed to the role and the business.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
