They are now keen to hire a Legal Counsel & DP Regulatory Compliance professional.
The Team
- This position will report to Senior Lawyer/Partner within the business.
- There are also two paralegals on the team, so it is a very well supported position.
- You will join a well established and growing Irish office that is part of a much wider global business. There are additional lawyers in London, with a larger legal team in the US.
- There is minimal travel expected with this role.
This position will suit:
- A qualified Lawyer with min. 7 years pqe (from in-house or private practice)
- A Lawyer who is currently or ready to become PCF approved
- A Lawyer with significant understanding of legal and regulatory rules applicable to fund management, operation, and distribution.
- A subject matter expert in UCITS and AIFMD.
- A Lawyer who has experience dealing with regulators and managing regulatory application processes.
- Familiarity with fund structures and regulatory requirements across UCITS and AIF products.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for the international business, offering advice on legal, compliance, governance, regulation, and operational matters.
- Draft, review, and maintain fund prospectuses, supplements, and contracts for UCITS and AIF products.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel to manage project timelines and deliverables.
- Counsel client service and sales teams on cross-border sales issues and distribution agreements.
- Maintain appropriate regulatory control in line with the requirements of the Central Bank of Ireland
- Stay updated on regulatory developments and revise internal policies and procedures as necessary.
- Monitor and assess the adequacy and effectiveness of compliance measures, policies, and procedures.
- Advise on compliance with obligations under UCITS Regulations and AIFM Regulations.
- Report to the board of directors quarterly and liaise with service providers regarding fund matters.
