Background
Our client has up to 150 employees with a number of key systems in place including Office365, retail systems, dealer management systems with stock and accounts modules. We have an IT engineer supporting local users and in turn is supported by the outsourced service partner to provide support services including the infrastructure, IT operations and technical support requirements.
In this role you will work with the business, understand their requirements/pain points and review the existing IT environment – Systems, Applications, infrastructure, cloud solutions and ensure they are fit for purpose.
Aligned with the business strategy and as part of this review you will scope, agree and define the systems requirements, change requirements, identify enhancements to include better processes/efficiencies including standardising the reporting process / function to deliver change ensuring optimum systems performance from technology.
It is a “hands-on” role – but one that allows you to shape the future.
Responsibilities
- Direct the development and deployment of business-critical applications
- Lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of robust IT infrastructure
- Ensure the availability, security, and scalability of systems to support business operations
- Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing IT team
- Drive the development of data management strategies to ensure the integrity, accessibility, and usability of organisational data
- Reporting - Leverage data analytics to generate actionable insights and inform decision-making across the organisation
Experience
- Over 10+ years in a hands-on IT Leadership role with a degree in Computer Science /IT and good knowledge of sales stock and dealers management systems.
- Strong strategic planning and delivery background and a track record of driving IT innovation and business transformation.
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and software development methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organisational levels.
