The Job:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate monthly and quarterly statements.
- Budgeting: Develop and manage the annual budget with the General Manager and department heads.
- Cash Flow Management: Track receipts, payments, and liquidity.
- Payroll Oversight: Ensure timely, accurate payroll processing and compliance.
- Financial Controls: Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and records.
- Analysis & Insights: Provide financial analysis, highlighting trends and opportunities.
- Revenue Tracking: Monitor membership fees, renewals, and other income sources.
- Strategic Support: Assist with financial planning for special projects and growth
The Person:
- Professional accounting qualifications (ACA, CPA, ACCA).
- Experience: 3-5 years in accounting/finance, ideally in hospitality, leisure, or sports.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Excel.
- Analytical ability: Strong data interpretation and insight generation.
- Communication: Ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Time management: Skilled at multitasking and meeting deadlines in a part-time role.
