My client, a leading corporate law firm is seeking a highly experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience as a payroll specialist working in a professional services environment, preferably legal, accountancy or financial services. This is a permanent role that offers a hybrid work model.
The Job:
- Processing monthly payroll for employees, pensioners, and partners in Ireland, the UK, and the USA.
- Managing payroll components, including BIK, holiday pay, and statutory payments.
- Ensuring payroll reconciliation, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.
- Administering statutory payments, benefits, pensions, and compensation adjustments.
- Coordinating internal and external audits with accurate documentation.
- Implementing legislative payroll changes and maintaining policies and procedures.
- Acting as the primary contact for payroll queries and reporting.
- Preparing financial reports, including gender pay gap analysis and tax submissions.
- Ensuring compliance with local payroll legislation and taxation requirements.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in a payroll management role in a fast-paced environment.
- IPASS or equivalent payroll qualification.
- Strong knowledge of Irish payroll regulations, taxation, and employment law.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software (Access Payroll preferred).
- Proven track record in system implementation and process improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple payrolls, meet tight deadlines, and maintain high accuracy.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
