The Job:
- Staff payroll processing monthly for 150+ staff
- Operation of client account transfers in and out to a strict process
- Assisting the other team members in processing transactions on client matters
- Implementing various month end processes
- Maintain Accurate Financial Records
- Bank Reconciliation & Cash Flow Management
- VAT and Tax Compliance
- Credit Control and Debt Management
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
The Person:
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar account’s assistant role within a professional services firm, preferably in a legal firm.
- Strong understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) and experience handling client money, disbursements, and compliance obligations
- Proficient in using accounting software and advanced Excel skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with fee earners, partners, and external parties.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and suggest improvements to financial processes.
