Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced lawyer (5 year pqe) to join a dynamic team as a Senior Legal Counsel in a leading Payments organisation. The successful candidate will report to the GC and will work across multiple global teams and regions, providing essential support and advice to various businesses and product teams.

The role responsibilities:
- Review, draft, and negotiate significant commercial contracts with international banks and global merchants, including confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, services agreements, and joint venture agreements.
- Corporate/M&A/investment transactional work including drafting and negotiating transaction documents, conducting/supporting due diligence and project management
- Review, draft, and negotiate IT supplier contracts, including software development and maintenance agreements and software and know-how licensing agreements.
- Research, advise on, and implement business set-up projects in new territories.
- Research and advise on regulatory and compliance issues relating to financial and payment services laws, anti-money laundering laws, payment card scheme regulations, and data protection.
- Advise on and manage intellectual property matters, including patent and trademark applications and oppositions.
- Manage and advise on general litigation matters.
- Assist with corporate transactional work, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents, conducting/supporting due diligence, and project management.
Requirements:
Experience in commercial transactions, general corporate law, and extensive legal expertise (preference for previous in-house experience)
- Qualified solicitor or barrister eligible to practice within Ireland.
- Ideally, 5 years of relevant PQE, with previous experience in a top-tier law firm or advising payments/financial services firms being advantageous.
