Senior Financial Accountant
My client is an expanding global energy company based in Dublin City Centre.
They are currently recruiting for a qualified accountant with 2-4 years’ pqe to join our Finance team in Dublin.
Reports to: Senior Finance Manager
Purpose of position: The role will involve financial reporting, finance business partnering and varied project work.
Main duties:
• Working closely with an external accounting service provider, responsible for month end process, balance sheet reconciliations and initial analysis of results for assigned companies.
• Responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports to key stakeholders, such as investors and senior management.
• Lead the preparation of an annual budget for project entities, working closely with the Project Development team.
• Cash management of assigned projects; including preparation of monthly rolling forecasts, funding requests and managing flow of funds.
• Co-ordination and management of the audit process and other finance/budget activities.
• Providing support on both project acquisitions and sales transactions working closely with colleagues in other business units including commercial team.
• Providing support to the Senior Finance Manager as required.
• Working alongside other members of the Finance Team, PMO and the AP team in continuous development of business processes and controls to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency.
The person:
• A high calibre qualified ACCA or Chartered Accountant, with 2-4 years’ pqe
• Confident self-starter with the ability to act on own initiative, multi-task and meet challenging deadlines
• Excellent MS office skills.
• Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills required
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
Salary: €75k plus benefits.
Hybrid working available, 3 days on site, 2 at home.
