Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will coordinate and manage all month-end financial processes and will be responsible for overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.

The role
- Lead and mentor a team within the finance function
- Ensure full compliance with all financial legislation and regulations (PRSI, PAYE, VAT, RCT)
- Perform reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve issues promptly
- Prepare regular financial reports and provide actionable insights to support business performance and cost control
- Manage month-end reporting, including Balance Sheet and Income Statement reviews, budget analysis, and cash flow forecasting
- Improve and maintain key financial control processes aligned with best practice
- Safeguard the accuracy and integrity of finance data while ensuring GDPR compliance
- Coordinate internal and external audit processes
- Reconcile internal operational systems with finance systems, resolving any discrepancies
- Build strong working relationships across Commercial, Service, Operations, and Design teams to better understand business dynamics
- Drive continuous improvement in finance systems and processes
- Assist the Financial Controller with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Lead or contribute to ad hoc projects, taking full ownership from start to finish
- Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years’ pqe
- Strong technical accounting capabilities
- Self-motivated with problem-solving abilities and the capacity to multi-task
- Eagerness to learn and progress within the organisation
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and reporting skills
- Adaptable, flexible, and proactive
- Proven ability to build trusted, professional relationships across all levels
