We are working exclusively with a global fund client to source Associate and Senior Associates for their Derivatives Operations teams. This hybrid role, based in Dublin, offers a fantastic opportunity to work at the intersection of complex derivatives and fund accounting within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
The role

Deliver core accounting services for assigned clients and moderately complex funds, including Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, performance reporting, and expense allocations.

Take ownership of service improvement initiatives, streamline processes, and support efficiency targets within the Fund Accounting function.

Review the work of junior colleagues, offering support, mentorship, and quality assurance where needed.

Perform detailed cash and asset reconciliations for complex transactions, including the reconciliation of fund expenses and accurate allocation of costs.

Escalate unusual or complex transaction types to senior team members, ensuring transparency and timely resolution.

Draft and review fund performance reports for clients, ensuring accuracy and consistency across reporting deliverables.

Serve as a point of contact for client queries related to fund reporting and accounting procedures.

Ensure accurate processing and booking of Over-the-Counter (OTC) derivative trades in the accounting system.

Create and maintain OTC asset records, working closely with the Security Master team to support non-standard instrument setups.

Analyze and verify static data and trade details for OTC positions, identifying anomalies or inconsistencies.

Conduct detailed term-sheet reviews for complex or non-standard derivative contracts to ensure proper setup and accounting treatment.

Support the team’s broader goals by contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
The candidate -
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline—or equivalent combination of education and experience.

A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in fund accounting or derivatives operations.

Prior experience with a Big 4 accounting firm or within a fund administration environment is a strong advantage.

Strong understanding of OTC derivatives and the associated accounting treatment.

Ability to guide and support less experienced team members; leadership or mentoring experience is beneficial.

Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
