Financial Accountant
My client prides itself on delivering efficient, effective solutions across a wide range of industries. They are currently recruiting for a newly qualified Financial Accountant to join their ranks and continue their tradition of success. This person will play an important role across all areas of finance for the entity, as well as supporting the FP&A and Operations teams and other ad hoc tasks as necessary.
Offices are based close to the city centre and on the green Luas line.
Reporting to: Financial Controller
Key ActivitiesProvide support to the accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy
Support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and preparing necessary schedules.
Maintain and improve internal controls, ensuring adherence to company policies
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Work with the financial controller on acquisition accounting and due diligence.
Provide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic and operational decisions.
Play an active role in new ERP system implementation and ongoing financial masterdata maintenance.
Assist Financial Controller and CFO with any ad hoc tasks.

Salary: €60k - €65k. Hybrid working, 3 days on site.

Key Activities
- Play an active role in month end including:
- Lead the preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts
- Ensure all areas are prepared to a high degree of accuracy
- Work with the Financial Controller and other finance team members on timely delivery of management accounts
- Manage general ledger postings, reconciliations and journal entries
- Work with local compliance partners of foreign subsidiaries around tax and statutory filings.
- Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all completed accurately and on time
Th person:
- Newly qualified Accountant
- Good organisational skills, able to prioritise effectively & escalate as necessary
- Proven track record of strong work ethic. Clear examples of “rolling up sleeves and getting stuck in”
- Proven track record of problem solving with clear examples
- Proactive & effective communicator, able to communicate both internally within the business and externally to clients & customers
- Team player, ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other team members, in pursuit of finance objectives
- Continuous improvement mindset
Salary: €60k - €65k. Hybrid working, 3 days on site.
