My client, one of the worlds largest Aircraft Lessors, is seeking to hire a Vice President-Technical in its Dublin office.
The Role
- Prepare, review, and negotiate term sheets and aircraft lease documentation (technical provisions).
- Technical management of the delivery, redelivery, and transition of both new and used aircraft.
- Support aircraft acquisitions and disposal deals.
- Prepare and analyse aircraft and/or engine specifications for acquisition, lease transition and / or sales.
- Provide cost estimates and integration budgets for the transitioning of aircraft from one lease / deal to another.
- Prepare aircraft technical specifications and remarketing information for aircraft and engines.
- Process maintenance reserve claims following the terms set out in the related lease agreements.
- Prepare bespoke maintenance cash flow projections and financial models for specific aircraft transactions.
- Provide support to in-house marketing, legal, finance and contracts teams.
- Maintain relationships with the manufacturers, aviation authorities and maintenance providers to ensure the business is kept abreast of developments within the industry.
- Monitor current and upcoming airworthiness and technical issues.
- Manage mid lease audit inspections.
- Monitor lessee related maintenance obligations during the term of a lease.
- Manage relationship with airline clients (technical).
- Liaise with investors and financiers (technical support).
- Represent the company at industry conferences and meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in aeronautical and/or mechanical engineering
- Have relevant experience in aircraft / engine leasing, aircraft maintenance, and/or financial services.
- Knowledge of narrow and wide body commercial aircraft, engines and related systems and parts.
- Experience in project management and financial modelling.
- Ability to work independently. This position requires a candidate that is a self-starter, problem solver and a highly motivated individual with the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines. The candidate must be committed to professional excellence and demonstrate a natural attention for detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work within an international team
- Ability to produce reports to a high standard.
- This position will require overseas travel from time to time, and flexibility in this regard is prerequisite for any candidate.
- Strong PC skills, proficient knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel and Word), Power BI, and other analytical tools as well as comfort and willingness to learn and use new computer programs/applications.
