Our client is a successful Irish organisation with a significant presence in Ireland and the UK.
They are now interested in talking to Data Protection specialists for a Data Protection Manager role.
This position reports to the Chief Legal Officer and you will work closely with the IT Director.
It's important that you have a significant understanding of legislative requirements, data protection law etc, but also a very good understanding of technology from a systems implementation perspective.
Experience required:
You will have at least 4 years' experience.
Responsibilities:
You must be a self-starter, highly organised and an excellent communicator
Previous DP experience
Excellent academics - legal, technology, business
Hybrid working - 3 days on site, 2 remote

Responsibilities:
- Advise on data protection matters and escalate data privacy issues to senior management
- Act as senior leader of relevant data protection committees
- Analyse, evaluate and advise on the privacy impact of existing and upstream legislative, regulatory, legal developments and industry proposals on services and companies
- Assist and advise on compliance with data protection, privacy, security regulations, information technology policies, standards and processes.
- Liaise with the relevant data protection regulators in the jurisdictions that we operate in.
- Provide practical and actionable advice on the design and continuous improvement of policies, operational processes, risk assessments, controls, monitoring and governance.
- One direct report into this role (administrator)
