Reporting directly to the Head of Transfer Agency, the chosen candidate will hold a senior leadership position, overseeing a team of managers in a client-facing capacity. This individual will be instrumental in shaping and executing both local and global strategic initiatives, with a focus on automation, onboarding new business, and ensuring strong governance of existing processes in line with corporate policies and regulatory frameworks.
The role demands active participation in various stakeholder engagements, governance forums, client onboarding processes, and RFP responses. As a senior leader, this role encompasses, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the strategic agenda for your business unit, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives and close collaboration with peer leaders.
- Establish a strong control environment to enable your managers to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
- Act as the senior escalation point for client/internal issues, governance matters, project oversight, and incident management.
- Collaborate across teams to manage organizational risk by addressing structural inefficiencies, breaking down operational silos, and strengthening inter-team collaboration.
- Lead performance management across the group, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and career development discussions.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for automation and operational improvement, including the use of AI and system enhancements, engaging with relevant partners to implement solutions.
- Develop and implement strategies to manage and control operating costs effectively.
- Represent the team at client due diligence sessions, board meetings, and during RFP processes as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven track record in defining and executing strategic initiatives for large teams or business units.
- A third-level degree is preferred; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- 10–15 years of experience in the Transfer Agency space, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role; prior experience in a client-facing role is highly desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Transfer Agency operations is essential, and broader exposure to Fund Services is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to lead within a collaborative management environment, while also taking initiative independently.
