My client is an international law firm based in Dublin City Centre.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparation of financial statements for a varied portfolio of capital markets and aircraft leasing SPVs in line with transactional and statutory deadlines;
- Beginning to end responsibility for leading the preparation of financial statements under IFRS or local GAAP, including active involvement in both audit preparation and delivery;
- Leading the onboarding of new clients from an accounting perspective;
- Training and managing less experienced members of the team;
- In time, taking on a portfolio of SPV directorships, thereby obtaining a broader exposure to the transaction and clients;
- Leading the interaction with auditors and clients to ensure successful completion of the financial statements;
- Managing the completion of quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of aircraft leasing SPVs;
- Liaising with the tax advisors and others in relation to VAT and corporation tax compliance;
- Preparing and filing of quarterly regulatory returns to Central Bank of Ireland;
- Completion of FATCA, EMIR and CRS returns; and
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures, while actively contributing to process improvements within team.
Requirements:
- Qualified ACA / ACCA accountant, with a minimum of 1 year's post-qualification financial services experience in a relevant auditing/accounting role within a Top 10 accounting firm or corporate services company, who can demonstrate the following:
- An ability to review complicated SPV transactions from an accounting perspective and lead the on boarding and delivery of all related accounting requirements;
- Experience in managing audit trainees/newly qualified accountants;
- Experience at either performing an audit or preparing for and answering audit queries;
