Procurement Specialist
My client is a large group, with offices in North Dublin.
As the Procurement Specialist, you will work across the Group, supporting the Procurement Manager in sourcing, negotiation and procurement of goods and services. You will work cross-functionally with various departments and project teams to ensure timely, cost effective and quality goods and service across a variety of category spend.
This role reports directly to the Head of Procurement & Carrier Relations.

As the Procurement Specialist, you will work across the Group, supporting the Procurement Manager in sourcing, negotiation and procurement of goods and services. You will work cross-functionally with various departments and project teams to ensure timely, cost effective and quality goods and service across a variety of category spend.
This role reports directly to the Head of Procurement & Carrier Relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across all group entities, as well as with external supply partners and carriers.
- Identify, lead and support cost reduction initiatives to drive value across procurement activities.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for goods and services, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Oversee daily procurement activities as a senior point of contact within the department
- Ensure all procurement activities align with company policies and procedures, including oversight of approval workflows and compliance.
- Represent the Procurement function in cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives as required.
- Engage with key stakeholders to understand business needs and procurement requirements, both for individual projects and ongoing operations.
- Source and onboard new suppliers in accordance with group governance standards; manage vendor relationships, performance, and compliance.
- Lead the preparation, coordination, and execution of RFx (RFI, RFQ, RFP) and tender processes, including pricing and quotation evaluations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement systems and processes, including involvement in system upgrades or new implementations.
- Manage, track, prepare, and produce monthly reports/metrics.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience procurement / purchasing / vendor management role.
- Third level qualification in Procurement / Supply Chain Management / Business.
- Experience with ERP /financial systems required.
- Ability to engage and negotiate with customers, colleagues, contractors, vendors, third party distributors and multiple stakeholders, forming effective relationships.
