My client is a large group with operations across Europe, US & Asia.
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
Role Overview:
The Group Financial Controller is a senior leadership position responsible for ensuring robust financial governance and delivering timely and accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience in a multi-entity or international environment.

Role Overview:
The Group Financial Controller is a senior leadership position responsible for ensuring robust financial governance and delivering timely and accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience in a multi-entity or international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead key financial elements of the Finance function, including statutory reporting, month end close, generation of management reports, financial control, payroll, banking, compliance and governance, risk management, treasury, and taxation
- Ownership of transactional processing and cash management
- Drive net working capital improvement
- Lead, motivate and mentor a high-performing Finance team. Set up and embed a culture of continuous improvement delivering optimum performance.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial management reports within agreed timelines to the senior leadership team and board
- Prepare and submit all necessary statutory reporting (audits, tax returns, etc.) required in Ireland, the USA, and other relevant markets, consistent with international accounting procedures and regulatory compliance protocols
- Support the CFO in delivering key strategic finance objectives, including mergers and acquisitions, refinancing, capital expenditures, and investor relations
- Implement relevant technology platforms and data analytic tools to optimise financial processes and reporting
- Effectively manage key internal (senior leadership team and board) and external (auditors, regulatory bodies, and banks) stakeholder relationships
The person:
- Qualified Accountant
- 5+ years of finance experience with a strong background in accounting and financial control
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (IFRS and GAAP)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills
- Knowledge of ERP and BI systems
- Experience in multinational organisation required
