Senior Financial Accountant
Reports to: Group Financial Controller
My client is a fast-growing fmcg company, based in Dublin City Centre, with a global reach.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of financial reporting, controls and compliance, while supporting commercial decision-making in a fast-paced SME environment. This is a hands-on role with visibility across the business and close collaboration with senior management and cross-functional teams. This is a newly created role due to expansion.

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of financial reporting, controls and compliance, while supporting commercial decision-making in a fast-paced SME environment. This is a hands-on role with visibility across the business and close collaboration with senior management and cross-functional teams. This is a newly created role due to expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and insightful commentary
- Own the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and robust reconciliations
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Produce monthly sales and margin reporting by product, brand, customer and region
- Perform discount and promotional analysis
- Conduct product cost analysis
- Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations
- Oversee working capital management
- Lead cashflow planning and forecasting
- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting
- Strengthen and maintain internal financial controls
- Manage statutory audits and external reporting requirements
- Manage VAT, Corporation Tax and other tax filings
- Oversee inventory accounting and stock valuations
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems
- Partner with commercial, operations and marketing teams to provide financial insight
- Support ad-hoc projects and business growth initiatives
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience
- Experience within FMCG, manufacturing or operations finance
- Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a proactive mindset
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and international teams
- Solid understanding of inventory management, margins and cost control
- Demonstrates resilience and ability to work on own initiative
- A strong team player, with the ability to influence and inspire
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
