Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to support the business across financial reporting, month-end close and core accounting processes. This is a hands-on role offering strong exposure to an SME finance function, with opportunities to develop technical expertise, commercial awareness and experience within the FMCG sector.

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to support the business across financial reporting, month-end close and core accounting processes. This is a hands-on role offering strong exposure to an SME finance function, with opportunities to develop technical expertise, commercial awareness and experience within the FMCG sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Assist with the month-end close process, including journals and accruals
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
- Support monthly sales and margin reporting by product, brand, customer and region
- Assist with discount and promotional analysis
- Support product cost analysis
- Assist with intercompany accounting and reconciliations
- Support working capital management, including receivables, payables and inventory
- Assist with cashflow reporting and forecasting
- Support VAT, Corporation Tax and other tax filings
- Assist with inventory accounting, stock reconciliations and valuations
- Support statutory audit processes and respond to information requests
- Maintain accurate financial data within the ERP system
- Support the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls
- Collaborate with commercial, operations and marketing teams
- Support ad-hoc finance projects and business initiatives as required
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), with 1-3 years’ pqe in industry
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small, fast-paced SME environment
- Willingness to learn, take ownership and develop within the role
- Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
