Finance and Operations Manager
The Currency is an Irish-owned independent business media publisher producing original journalism and podcasts focused on Irish business, alongside international content from our partner, The Wall Street Journal.
They are now seeking a Finance and Operations Manager to play a central role in our growing team of 10. This is a broad, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys collaboration, takes initiative, and is comfortable operating at a leadership level in a small, fast-moving business. The role is hybrid, with a minimum of two days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, invoicing, debtors and transactions
- Maintaining books and records and overseeing all taxation matters
- Working closely with external accountants and auditors
- Reviewing monthly management accounts and preparing budget forecasts for board meetings
- Handling customer service queries, refunds, and payment issues
- Engaging with corporate account holders on sales, invoicing, and user management
- Liaising with external tech suppliers and supporting the technical operations of The Currency
