I am working with my client, an International Financial services company, to appoint a Vice President to join their growing Derivatives Support function within Fund Accounting Operations in Dublin. You will own end‑to‑end OTC Derivatives processing across all asset classes (Rates, Inflation, FX, Equity and Credit) — trade capture, lifecycle management (e.g., swap resets, option exercises, credit events), and reconciliations (trade, position, cash) - while driving process improvement, data‑led insights, and control framework enhancements.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Run daily OTC derivatives operations: trade capture validation, lifecycle management, and break resolution impacting the NAV.
- Own reconciliations (trade, position, cash) with strong root‑cause analysis and preventive controls.
- Enhance the control framework: define/improve controls, documentation, and audit‑ready evidence/MI.
- Deliver process improvements and automation; define requirements and lead UAT for workflow/system changes.
- Build and maintain ETL workflows (e.g., Xceptor, Alteryx) and develop data dashboards/MI (Power BI beneficial).
- Partner with internal stakeholders including Fund Accounting, Middle Office, Pricing, and Technology; collaborate closely with Client Service to manage escalations and communicate proactively.
- Contribute to continual project work (process re‑engineering, data remediation, new client / product onboarding).
- Derivatives experience in Fund Accounting, Middle Office, Asset Management, or Pricing preferred; prior Fund Accounting knowledge is beneficial.
- Strong OTC product/process knowledge; hands‑on lifecycle and reconciliation expertise.
- Proven independence, quick learning, and ability to mentor junior colleagues.
- Risk/control mindset; excellent stakeholder communication and client service orientation.
- Workflow tools: practical experience with ETL tools such as Xceptor and/or Alteryx preferred. Advanced MS Excel knowledge a must.
- Data/MI: structuring datasets and dashboards; MS Power BI beneficial.
- Advanced Excel; SQL or scripting a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or related field; professional designation (e.g., CPA, CFA, FRM) beneficial but not required.
