Our client is a leader in the funds industry with impressive growth in the alternative and PE space. The Senior Director/Director Relationship Management will join a high-performing team in a fast‑growth area, owning strategic client relationships and operating with accountability to clear performance targets. The role requires strong internal navigation, commercial judgement and executive‑level communication.
This is a senior‑level, hands‑on relationship management role within a small, elite team of Relationship Managers based across Europe. The role is high‑touch, suited to an ambitious, energetic professional who can quickly take ownership of complex global client relationships and deliver measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- As the Relationship Manager, implement an institutional‑grade client governance framework with executive touchpoints, KPIs and clear action tracking to deepen strategic partnerships.
- Champion client satisfaction and service excellence; act as the voice of the client and primary point of escalation while coordinating cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Create data‑led annual account plans to expand wallet share; lead commercial discussions, pricing and profitability initiatives.
- Provide market and competitor insight to guide client conversations and inform the product pipeline; identify new solution opportunities and manage key third‑party relationships.
- Partner with Operations leadership to ensure delivery quality, proactive issue prevention and continuous improvement across accounts.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in the alternatives funds industry is essential with private markets knowledge a real advantage.
- Deep knowledge of alternative fund structures, key domiciles and regulatory frameworks (e.g., UCITS/AIFMD and relevant offshore regimes).
- Proven track record of cross‑selling, strategic account planning and wallet share growth with institutional clients.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills; adept at executive stakeholder management, relationship building, problem solving and driving change.
- Strong data management and reporting capability; solid understanding of operations within fund administration or middle/back‑office processes; ability to prioritise multiple deadlines effectively.
