My client, a leading animal welfare charity, is seeking a Finance Director to join their senior leadership team. This role offers an incredible opportunity to lead and expand the finance function within a respected organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals. The Finance Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities

• Ensure financial systems are optimized to meet organizational objectives and provide actionable management reporting.
• Oversee the preparation and management of annual budgets, ensuring targets are tracked and reported accurately.
• Lead the execution of monthly payroll functions and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Manage the organization's Risk Register and collaborate with departments to effectively handle risks.
• Develop and manage a strong finance team, fostering growth and continuity planning.

Requirements

• Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with over 5 years of post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience in supporting senior leaders to achieve financial targets and managing budgets.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk management, GDPR, and compliance.
• Experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector is advantageous.
