Our client is a well-established, multi-region construction business with a strong track record of delivery across complex projects.
With continued growth and geographic expansion, they are now keen to appoint a HR Director.
Key Points
- Senior HR role reporting directly to the CPO
- 3 direct reports, so leadership experience is essential

- This role will likely suit experienced HR professionals from sectors such as pharma, manufacturing, tech or construction/engineering
The Role
This position will be a great option for a HR leader who is equally comfortable with strategy as well as with operational delivery.
You will own the full spectrum of HR operations across the organisation, from performance and talent management through to reward, employee relations, HRIS, and succession planning. You will partner closely with regional and functional leaders to build a high-performing culture and ensure the HR function operates as a key driver of business performance.
Responsibilities
• Lead the development and execution of people strategies aligned to the organisation's commercial priorities and growth ambitions
• Drive the evolution of the HR function toward a modern, commercially oriented operating model
• Own the HR Business Partnering model across all business functions and regions, coaching and supporting leaders on performance, organisational effectiveness, and complex people matters
• Design and embed performance development frameworks, goal-setting processes, and accountability practices across the organisation
• Lead the annual talent review and succession planning processes, identifying high-potential talent and critical capability gaps
• Oversee compensation and benefits processes, including annual comp review, to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity
• Lead employee relations strategy and provide oversight on complex ER matters across all regions
• Drive ongoing HRIS deployment, optimisation, and people analytics capability to support business decision-making
• Lead, develop, and mentor the HRBP and HR Operations team
• Support change management and cultural transformation initiatives as the business grows and scales
Requirements
• Significant senior HR leadership experience within a complex, multi-region organisation
• Proven track record building and implementing modern people frameworks across business partnering, performance management, and organisational development
• Experience leading HR Business Partners across multiple regions or business units
• Strong comp and benefits expertise, including experience owning annual reward cycles
• Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder credibility, and the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
• High levels of discretion, sound judgment, and a collaborative but results-focused leadership style
